CliniOps Celebrates 5th Anniversary!!

CliniOps completes a milestone – On Oct 3, 2018, CliniOps celebrated 5 years in business. It has been a wonderful journey over the past 5 years, at the intersection of Digital Transformation in the Life Science industry. We initially started with the idea of streamlining the clinical data management workflow through technology innovations, but with the passing of every year, the product matured with added capabilities that were not even imagined 5 years back, and many were initiated through customer use cases. It gives us the confidence on the power of the technology and a faith in the future. Given that we can now support near real-time data collection from the remotest part of the world (including very low bandwidth and high latency zones), our focus and roadmap is gradually shifting towards data science and how to leverage the data in real time, to develop decision support system – AI & ML for the Life Sciences industry!!

Along with the product, our team has evolved as well, and we are building our capability from our offices in US and India to support the growing needs of our customers. As the saying goes, ‘It’s more important to have a world class customer support than a world class product’ Well, we aspire to have both. Looking forward to the next 5 years of success and continued innovation.

CliniOps Releases New Validated Cross-Platform Build 2.1

CliniOps launched its fully validated software build 2.1, that also supports X-Platform support, including iOS and Android devices. The request for X-Platform support actually support came from working with several trial sites across Asia, Africa and South America, where different types of mobile devices are used. CliniOps product engineering team worked on this for the past several months and we are all very excited and happy to launch the new build, after completing the complete validation activities.

According to FDA, source data should meet certain fundamental elements of quality, commonly referred as attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, and accurate (ALCOA). Our software is designed in a way that satisfies all of these requirements, as listed below:

  • Attributable: Data is attributable to a unique user with a secure password and role-based permissions, preventing changes from being made by unauthorized users.
  • Legible: Data and information are presented in a clean and standardized format.
  • Contemporaneous: Automatic date and time stamps support this every time clinical data is entered, edited, or modified in the system. Our software also has the appropriate controls in place to fully support compliance with 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Original: The source is the earliest record – the first place that data is documented. If corrections or revisions need to be made, changes shouldn’t obscure prior entries. An audit trail can track any and all subsequent queries and changes.
  • Accurate: Our audit trails can provide transparency to prevent data from being altered in a way that is difficult to detect. Additionally, automatic edit checks can immediately alert when missing data points or out-of-range data are entered.

Our new build satisfies all of the ALCOA requirements. In addition, we have several rich built-in capabilities for real-time reporting and analytics.
